BSNL is trying to overthrow Jio of its position by providing 45GB data at 20Mbps for 99/mo

State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched four broadband plans that offer 20 Mbps data speed at a starting price of Rs 99. These are non-fibre plans which subscribers can avail by paying a security deposit of Rs 500. The broadband packs are available across the country apart from Andaman & Nicobar circle.

             The first plan is called the BSNL 45GB BBG Combo ULD and costs Rs 99 per month. It offers 1.5 GB data per day or a monthly total of 45GB. After the 1.5GB daily FUP, the speeds will drop from 20Mbps to 1 Mbps. The next plan is called the BSNL 150GB BBG Combo ULD which offers 150GB total data at 5GB data per day at a price of Rs 199. The same FUP rule applies. Note that the FUP restore every midnight at 12AM.

        Even Though its being considered as a step up for BSNL in the telecom sector which is currently being dominated by Reliance JIO,These plans and their execution of the claims need to be taken with a pinch of salt as this isn't the first time BSNL has been grabbing headlines for the rejuvenation of its plans.

      At Rs 299, the BSNL BBG Combo ULD 300GB plan offers 10GB data per day and total monthly data of 300GB. All the plans offer unlimited voice calling benefits. Lastly, there is a plan that offers 20GB daily data for a combined total of 600GB monthly data at a price of Rs 399.

      BSNL had recently launched a new broadband plan at a price of Rs 1,199 that is valid across India. Called the BSNL RS 1199 BBG Combo ULD Family Plan, it will offer 10Mbps broadband internet speeds with a monthly FUP limit of 30 GB. Also, under this plan, subscribers can club three BSNL prepaid connection to avail 1GB of data per day. After the 30GB monthly FUP limit, subscribers will get download speeds of 2Mbps. As far as the mobile data offer is concerned, all the three BSNL SIM cards will get unlimited free voice calling (Local, STD and national roaming) along with 1GB of 3G mobile data per day.

PS: From a national stand point,it is necessary and worth the praise if BSNL manages to execute on its promises and deliver the finished product that might restore the faith in this national organization.
