Patanjali rolls out chat application for India as a part of the modern swadeshi movement
After recently partnering with state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to launch Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards, Patanjali has now announced its Kimbho text and video chat app. The Kimbho app is now available for free download on Google Play and will compete directly with WhatsApp . Patanjali spokesperson SK Tijarawala tweeted, "Now India will talk . After launching SIM cards, Baba Ramdev has launched a new messaging application called Kimbho. Now Whats App will be given competition.” Explaining name the “Kimbho”, Tijarawala tweeted in Hindi, “Kimbho in Sanskrit means What’s going on and what’s the news.” The Kimbho chat app is claimed to be AES encrypted and supports ghost chatting and auto-deletion of messages.
