Flipkart to buy snapdeal at a whooping $950 million!!!!.Read to know more about the deal
Indian online shopping website Snapdeal has accepted the revised offer by flipkart at $950,the major reason for this deal to take place was because of the stern competition that exist between Indian Flipkart and the American Amazon as the top two online marketplace in India.
This deal was approved by the board of Jasper infotech which is runs Snapdeal but sources claim that the deal is yet to be confirmed by Snapdeal stakeholders.
This deal would really help Flipkart in gaining supremacy in the Online shopping industry competition that has seen an exponential growth in recent years .Japan's solar to tech conglomerate SoftBank which happens to be Snapdeal's biggest investor is keen for this deal to happen to get their share of profit from this deal.
Another listed eCommerce firm Infibeam tried to acquire snapdeal at a price of $700 but the company rejected the deal stating the price as "too low".
Axis bank is another private sector which appears to be the front runner in acquiring snapdeal's digital payment unit "Freecharge" at $60 million.
PS: We can only hope that this deal not only bring good revenue to the owners but also increases the services for the customer because this battle can only be rightfully won through customer satisfaction
