Android O set for a release on August 21st.Read to know some cool features of Android O
The much awaited Android O is set to release on 21st August via a live stream from New York city.On 21st August a solar eclipse is also going to sweep through the United states for the first time since 1918.Google is trying to make the release unique by coinciding the release with the eclipse.
In a eclipse themed website Google is running a countdown as "‘Android O is touching down to Earth with the total solar eclipse, bringing some super (sweet) new powers!"

Android O features
Being announced in March Android O has been in Beta phase since then.Finally the developers have decided to release the first stable release.Google has promised that O(most likely to be named as Oreo) will be a sweet treat.These are a few features about Android O.
Fingerprint sensor trackpad
This feature has only been confirmed for the pixel devices as of now.So,if you have a pixel device you can practically scroll through your notifications without even touching the screen.Scrolling on the fingerprint sensors which are located at the back of the device will result in scrolling effect on the screen.
Adaptive notification dots
In this feature you will get small number less dots alongside shortcuts for launching some apps.These dots will tell you whether you have some unread content in those apps.
Autofill API
This will ensure that your online forms are filled automatically(this will include filling of sensitive data).
Background process optimizations
With an extensive amount of work being done over the display and other battery consuming features,Optimization are must.Android O delivers a more optimized OS by limiting the background process.Google has been working on this feature since Marshmallow.It will be interesting to see what advancements have been done with Android O.
Release of Android O
Google has planned a very "out of box" release for Android O.On an eclipse themed website Google is been running a count down for the eclipse as well as the release of the latest installment in Android.
Besides that Google ha given links for the livestream of the eclipse via NASA and the also for the livestream of the event itself.
Google plans to create an eclipse Megamovie as it has gathered 1000 volunteers to create a continuous view of the passing eclipse.
What's with project Treble??
Google has planned an integration with project Treble with the forthcoming Android O.This will help your device manufacturer provide faster updates for more stable releases.
